Cancellations

Cancellations apply to online purchases only. As long as your purchase hasn’t shipped we can still cancel it in time.

*Excludes bows, crossbows, cases & custom items.

To cancel your order email us at support@valleyofthenock.com.

Provide us with the item(s) that need to be canceled, your name, and order number.

Returns

Returns are accepted within 14 days of delivery. This covers unused items with a manufacturer’s defect or an issue that prevents the item from functioning safely.

For returns to be accepted they must include all original parts, original packaging/tags.

To initiate your return, provide your name, order number, brief description and photos of the defect/safety issue.

The customer pays return shipping. All other returns will be done via trade-in at the discretion of VOTN staff.

Trade-ins

Looking to upgrade, we welcome trade-ins! Even if your equipment doesn’t qualify for a return/“make it right policy” talk to us about a possible trade-in.

How trade-ins work:
Schedule an appointment with us for a free visual inspection. Cover charges still apply. Be sure to bring everything that comes with your equipment.

Trade-in values vary depending on:

  • Condition 

  • Brand, model, year 

  • What original parts/accessories/manuals are included

  • Alterations/modifications

  • Resalable condition/current fair market value

Make it Right Policy

*We have the right to refuse returns/trade-ins/“make it right” services for damage resulting from user error or damage done in transit from shipping carriers. However, we understand life happens. Give us a call if you have a unique situation and we’ll do our best to help get you shooting as quick as we can. Please keep in mind during high volume hunting seasons there may be delays we can’t anticipate.

In-person purchases (bows, crossbows, & custom items)

We don’t accept returns for bows, crossbows, or any customized item. 

However, any manufacturer defects or missing parts to bows & crossbows are eligible for our make it right policy within 30 days of receiving your purchase. We’ll work with the manufacturer to get you missing parts, replacement parts, or even have your equipment sent in for inspection per manufacturer’s requirements.  

If issues arise with your bow within 30 days of receiving it we’ll come back out to you to work on your equipment FREE of charge for labor. Cover charges still apply. 

What’s not eligible:

  • Equipment damaged from user error

  • Purchasing the wrong product (we offer free consultations) 

  • Claiming you didn’t know what you needed (we offer free consultations) 

  • No proof of purchase within the last 30 days of receiving the item(s) 

  • Dry fires - shooting bow/crossbow without an arrow/bolt properly seated onto the bowstring 

  • Shooting a non-bowfishing compound bow without a release aid (exception for bow made prior to mid to late 1970s)

  • Equipment that’s been altered, customized, rebuilt, special ordered, or missing any original parts 

  • Bows, crossbows, etc. that’ve been registered 

  • Damage that results from a non-primary shooter who uses your equipment without safe instruction 

  • Using your equipment out of spec or against manufacturer recommendations
